Hello! Welcome to the last day of April AND the Jubilee Furniture blog where each week we show you some of the new-to-us furniture that’s in our inventory.
As many of you know, the blog isn’t the only online place where you can checkout our furniture – we also have our Furniture Gallery.
As nice, and convenient, as it is to see photos online – it’s always lovely to touch a piece of furniture and so we invite you to come into the store (730 E. North Ave. Carol Stream 60188) today from 1 to 8, tomorrow also from 1 to 8 and Saturday from 9 to 4.
But let’s start our virtual tour!
very cool pine trunk (love the rusted hardware!). I couldn’t get the top to remain open (has a soft close hinge) – but otherwise in great shape! Priced $95
really lovely wicker/woven chair in perfect condition! Priced $65
WOW – beautiful pedestal table with glass top – LOVE the design and colors of the pedestal! Priced $145. The four chairs around it are very nice (might want to change out the seat fabric but that’s not a big deal). Priced $100 for all four
gorgeous side table in excellent condition – priced $65
Man alive – I LOVE these two blue velvet side chairs! Give ‘em a good vacuuming and they’ll be good as new! Priced $55 each
we have a wonderful design/pricing team (who I’ll introduce you to next week) who are a wealth of knowledge about furniture and they labeled this piece as a Martha Washington sewing cabinet (it’s a storage piece and, obviously, a reproduction). The three drawers open and the top of the curved side pieces open too. Really sweet. Priced $65
AMAZING Lane brand black leather small sofa or loveseat in excellent condition and…BOTH SIDES RECLINE! I tried it out (both sides) and it’s fantastic and very comfortable! Priced $425
Ethan Allen retro green velvet wingback chair – needs to be cleaned and there are some minor issues with the velvet (which happens over time). But isn’t that color fabulous?! Priced $45
nice floral camelback sofa in good condition. Priced $75
another lovely camelback sofa – from John M. Smith’s Signature Collection – also in good condition. I love the un-skirted look of camelback sofas as well as the single seat cushion and one piece back. No adjusting ever needed! It always looks good! Priced $85
I have some FABULOUS dressers to show you – starting with this retro dresser by Kroehler – in good condition and priced $65
really pretty chest of drawers by Willet (second photo is showing you that the three tops drawers are separate small drawers) – priced $165
gorgeous three drawer dresser with lovely clean lines, beautiful wood, dovetailed drawers. Priced $135
here’s another sweet Early American style five drawer chest of drawers in great condition – priced $80
this Sterling House three drawer dresser is made of all solid woods (maple and cherry). Needs to be cleaned up a bit – but overall in wonderful condition! Priced ONLY $55 (my shadow in the second photo makes me look like a 9’ tall monster! Yikes!)
antique dresser – really cool – priced $195
and then look at this antique oak dresser and mirror! Don’t you LOVE the face at the top of the mirror! Priced $295
there’s something about this gold and cream colored round pedestal coffee table that I think is amazing! In good condition and will add a bit of glam to any room! Priced $45
this wine/storage cabinet is built in that – sorta – primitive style but it also needs some TLC (one of the drawer fronts is warped and I couldn’t open the door at the bottom). Priced $55
FANTASTIC Thomasville dining table with two leaves and six chairs (two with arms) in very good condition – built in 1966! Priced $265 for the whole thing!
on the bottom of the same chair are these two labels: one from the Fancher Furniture Co. and one from Paramount Furniture Co. I know Fancher primarily built chairs and shipped them to other manufacturers – so maybe that’s what happened? Regardless, this is an amazing set! Includes: a gorgeous drop leaf table w/two leaves and EIGHT chairs (two with arms). Yes, it needs some minor cleaning/wood cover up. Yes, the chair seats need to be re-covered. But – on my goodness – this is a beauty! Priced $225
I hear it’s going to be a beautiful spring weekend and I hope you, dear reader, enjoy every moment of it (you know, once all the laundry, grocery shopping and cleaning are done. Ha! Can you guess what I’ll be doing?).
